Plan For Week two of Genius Hour I was struggling to figure out what my next step would be. I knew I wanted to work on assigning my guest for each episode, but I realized I wasn't there yet. I realized I had to take a step back and figure out the rest of my layout for Genius Hour. I knew I needed a plan for all of my different steps for this podcast or else my project would be a failure. For this week of Genius Hour, I created a layout for my project, so I can make sure I execute my podcast to its fullest potential.
During weeks three and four my plan is to first gain all of the necessary equipment I need for my podcast to be a success. I realized if my equipment isn't up to date it could ruin the entire project. I first will get microphones to make the audio crisp and clear. Secondly, I will buy a tripod because it will allow me to get a variety of different shots that a camera by itself could not do. Finally, I will look into different lighting sources for better lighting while filming for the podcast. In week five I will research the layouts of other podcasts. I will do this by watching and taking notes of different podcasts from start to finish to see how each podcast goes from segment to segment. I will take this information to work out any problems my layout might have and also for inspiration to create new segments on my podcast. I will also then start to figure out who my guest will be on the podcast. On weeks six through ten I will be filming all of my episodes for the Final Frontier Podcast. I will have a total of five episodes in five weeks. I will do this by filming and publishing each episode within a seven-day period. After those seven days, I will move on to my next episode. I will do this cycle for five weeks. Finally, on weeks eleven and twelve I will work on my final project. I gave myself two weeks for the final project to make sure I had enough time to do a good job on it.

Introduction My passion for content creation erupted when I posted my first YouTube Video on my channel back in 2020. Ever since that day I always had fun creating new content for people to watch. I used to have a good number of views on my older videos while also gaining subscribers at a good rate, but ever since 2023, I have fallen off. I have no idea why I had such a big downfall, maybe because of a lack of content or even a lack of quality. Whatever may have caused my downfall I just knew one thing Genius Hour was my one chance to revive the channel and create quality content.
For week one of Genius Hour I had to come up with a plan for what I wanted to do for this project. Originally I had no idea what I wanted to do. My first thought was about doing something relating to food, but then I realized it would get repetitive if it was just my participation. I soon realized I could incorporate my YouTube channel into my Genius Hour project which sparked many new ideas for me. I then knew I wanted to do something relating to content creation and improving my production skills. I also knew I wanted to do something fun, creative, and unique. I eventually came up with the idea to have my own podcast. After many days of thinking about what my podcast would be about, named, and how to actually go through with it I then came up with my final Idea. My Genius Hour Project is to produce weekly episodes of my Podcast called the Final Frontier Podcast. For every episode, I would like to have a new guest. I will start every episode off with a game with the guest. I will then segue into interviewing my guest for that episode. I will then end the episode by doing an activity that relates to my guest for that specific episode. My goal for this project is to get better at production and content creation while also trying to reach 100 subscribers on my YouTube channel. |
